Our Partnership with Sweetwater
Center for the Arts.
As we have with many community arts organizations in the past, in 2024 we sponsored after school eco art workshops for kids at Sweetwater Center for the Arts. It went well and the Sweetwater folks were interested in developing their eco art programing. This partnership is growing and here are some of the things we have done together and plans for future programing.
One aspect of programing that both the TSR Fund and Sweetwater were interested in reaching out to several communities in our region. We want everyone to have access to the experience of connecting art and our natural resources so why not bring the workshops to them.
Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs – Moon Twp.
Spring and Fall 2024 - Free afterschool programing in eco arts for 3rd through 5th grade students. Once a week for 6 weeks students participated in workshops such as:
· “From Trash to Tide” found materials, mono prints focused on plastic waste.
· “Zero Waste Weaving” Learning about repurposing.

We look forward to continuing to support these programs yearly.
2025 Sweet Ride & Eco Art
“Sweet Ride” is Sweetwater Center for the Arts Bus! The TSR Fund is excited to support this new way to bring art to regional communities.
Sweet Ride will bring more affordable and free access to EcoArt programming in local neighborhoods. Sweet Ride’s intention is to eliminate transportation and financial barriers while addressing community needs for creative enrichment.
Summer 2025
Sweet Ride will visit Alliquippa Impact’s Summer program once a week for 8 weeks with eco art focused programing.
Summer Camps at Sweetwater - “Art with Mother Nature,” “Eco Art",” Board Game Design with Eco Art,” Print-Paint-Play with Nature.” TSR ensures everyone can participate by providing scholarships as needed.
